1 bar = how many psi?

wat i need to change in order to boost safely to 1.8bar?
wat is the maximum boost for stock internal?

 

14.5 psi = 1 bar

Rest I dunno for sure

 

14.5~14.7psi

i wouldn't go past 21-22psi on stock internals.... head bolts i believe start to give... the bottom end is pretty much forged so it's fairly strong...

May I ask why you want to boost 1.8 bar? If it's only for bragging rights then your picking the wrong reason.... Your concern should be more towards HP goals and if they are possible with what you have.... Boost isn't everything it's only 1 factor on a list...

1.8 bar= 26psi

why on earth do u wanna run that much boost? Stock turbo isn't going to fit your wants, you will def need a turbo, full exhaust, manifold, hardpipes, bov (racing app.) filter, injectors, fuel pump, fuel managment, boost controller, high octane fuel, headbolts if not internal work, and most importantly lots of tuning....

I know you shouldn't push over 25psi (1.7 bar) on a stock evo 8.

Do you have a evo 4? I'm pretty sure with any evo engine you would need a built engine, big turbo, and all the basic bolt-ons (intercooler, IC piping, 3" turboback, fuel system, etc...)
