TRE 6 speed

just want to see who is running the TRE 6 speed rebuild. i can know longer get into 6th and need a rebuild.

how many miles do you have on it?

how much power are you running?

how often do you change the fluid?

i bought that car with the tranny bad, so im hoping if i take care of it this will not happen agian. i know this isn't a fix, but it should last longer right? the guy i bought it from had never changed the tranny fluid and the car had 28000 miles so i think that played a big part in it going bad.

Jon at TRE has been in this game a long time man. He is a stand up dude and your not going to go wrong getting any work done there. Now getting in touch with him sometimes that's another thing.

Fortunately or unfortunately my Tranny and TC have not skipped a beat in 120k plus miles thanks to his advice.

TRE has a good rep, but his "customer service" or lack of picking up the phone leads me to believe that the man hates money, cause he's missed out on a lot of business.

I'd swap in a Shep 5spd, or wait it out for there 6spd gear set.

NECRO BUMP, he says that the tranny can only hold 400 Fp's of torque after rebuild. My Stock 6 speed has been holding that since 2011 no issues. Just don't launch it too much.
