most honda drivers do that for "weight reduction" i think that they think its for aerodynamics. but anyway it would be less drag but how much is questionable.

weight reduction? how much 'weight reduction' do you think 6 holes on your rear poly bumper weighs?


the hardcore drag enthusiast does it to gain w/e minimal increases they can get. not to mention the rear bumpers on those cars is like a big parachute..hence why you see alot of the drag civic hatches have the middle of their rear bumpers cut out, to reduce that effect.

when they take out the rear crash beam it supports the bumper from being jello and the drag issue
