boost issue? i think?

okay, ive had my evo for probably 3 months and have had, 0 problems with it until recently and its really bugging me.

Okay no matter what gear Im in and I put my foot down, my rpm shoots up around 2k then bogs down once the boost kicks in.

note that its an MR so its a 6 speed

for example: I was driving at 45 mph in 5th gear so about 2300rpm and if I was to floor it, the rpm would shoot up to 4200rpm for maybe half a second, then it would bog down to 2400 rpm and the boost would kick in.

the turbo also spools a lot faster like this.

since im still a new evo member, this might be a stupid question. but stupid questions are easy to answer haha

Definately the clutch slipping. Drive easy until you replace it. Go ACT 6 puck.... I have had twins and a single.. the best by far is the ACT 6 puck....for street/race

Are you changing gears when you floor it?

I've got a somewhat similar issue with my Evo 9 doing this, but its when I take my foot off the gas and put the clutch in that it shoots up a couple hundred RPM:

Any thoughts on what this could be?

I'm honestly losing sleep over it!
