Engine ticking sound help...
Give me you opinion as to what my ticking is? I have put in new upgraded lifter but as you can see it still ticks. The strange thing is it goes away for a bit on startup and then starts. Please see video and give me your thougts.
Just to let all know this started after a WOT pull onto the freeway...

It idles ok as you can see from the video. I had a problem with the cop at one time it just misses but no ticking. I thought maybe it is a rod issue but if that is the case why would it go away on startup. It almost seems the lifters are not getting oil but when I remove the valve cover oil sprays everywhere. That shows there is oil pressure at least.

Sounds like two things could be possible my man:
A.)The cop is missing spark and causing it to sound like popcorn
b.)Might be the lifters need to be bleeded or one has failed causing it to be sticking...
Its not a rod bolt or a bearing..I suggest to see if you have a stock igniton coils or find someone who does to start eliminating things first off.The next thing to do is pull the valve cover off and inspect for any damage or if see if something came loose. My money is on one of the coils went bad happened to my audi s4 the same thing was ripping it wot on the freeway came off and pulled to the light and sounded just like this but mine faded away in about 1 hour..How long has it been sounding like this???

Unplug the sparks plugs one at the time and ear what happens, if the sound totally disapear then probably a bad cop but if it still do it a little fainter then it is down below.
