header coatings, long term.

i'm getting ready to send my full-race manifold out to get coated and want to gat a good idea on who's coating really holds up the best. i had stuff done before and after 20 min, it was flaking off. so if you guys don't mind, please post the following. thanks!

what coating you have?
how long ago was it done?
how is it holding up?
does it have the same gloss or is it dull?

I've been using Performance Coatings too for a while (www.performancecoatings.com) plugs they're right down the hill. My colors usually fade a tad but I usually go right to dyno like your not supposed to right after installing I've had other pieces that don't go right to the dyno and they hold their color better.

Performance Coatings Satin Gray (I think) along with manifold in background. Used for a few K miles with antifreeze spilled all over it hehe.

PC Gray Ice Unused

most companies say they are ready to go right out of the box. do you get better results if you bring them up to temp slower?

performance coatings warned against beating on the car when the coatings were fresh. I believe they said to heat cycle it 6 times before boosting.

Yea - was still editing my post. I usually go right to the dyno after installing most parts so I never get the break-in. The coating still holds fine but the color may fade a tad. I get the inside, outside and flanges covered.
