Can 2.4 block hit redline?
keep your race head lol and spend 1600-2100 and buy a fp red straight up or a fp black and put that 2.4 to use. having this monster longblock you have on stock turbo is completely ridiculous and stupid. I understand having it in place but you should have bought the turbo upgrade first instead of any of longblock parts. its nice your built but you will not be even pushing enough air right now to warrent the cost of the thousands you just spent on that longblock. Research is your friend i would say BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING ELSE RESEARCH THE PART IN QUESTION AND FORMULATE EXCACTLY HOW YOU WANT YOUR CAR TO END UP LIKE THEN GO WITH MODS THAT HELP ACHIEVE THAT GOAL NOT JUST WHAT BOB THE BUILDER DOWN THE STREET TOLD YOU TO BUY.
8500-8600 is okay on a limited basis. This was covered in the "To stroke or not to stroke" sticky in this forum. Keeping the reciprocating weight low and making sure the main bearings have enough oil is the critical component to revving that high.
Kiggly is turning 92-9300 with a 1.5 R/s 100mm 2.3
Honda GSR/Type R have a 1.58 R/s and exceed 10,500 (partly because of the headflow and oiling system)
Long rod 2.4s are 1.56
The main question you need to ask yourself is why you need to rev that high and need a 2.4. The bigger motor is more for street use. In order to get usable power that high you need a large enough turbo that having a 2.4 makes no difference anyway.

I feel like you should ask the shop that's building your engine...unless they're just enjoying seeing you spend exorbitant amounts of money for fun...
You definitely need a bigger turbo setup.
