The car shakes when its cold

Hey guys, I Dont know if this is a problem with my EVO but I Thought that I should ask you guys. When I turn my car in the morning I warm it up for about five Min and then I drive it slow until its completly warmed up. Anyways, I noticed in the past few monthes that when I will be just starting to drive after I warmed up for 5 min in the morning right when I put in first gear and reales the clutch and push gas that the car shakes from the front??? Now Its hard to explain but I will try hopefuly its not a clutch problem . It shakes and if I counteniue it will shake more and I feel that this is happning when the clutch is engaging now here is the catch its sooo weird?? once the car is completly warmed up it will never shakes at all no matter what and if push a little more gas in the first gear in the morning it wont shake. by the way I am talking about big shake here the hole car from the front shakes up and down. Its weird and I dont know if thiere is a problem but it never used to happend before. The reason I am asking is because I am taking my car to Mitsu on FRI but they wont notice the problem except if they let it sit for half a day or until the next morning and its hard to explain.

Thanks

Have you checked your fluid levels in your transfer case? Is there oils in the car the stock fluid? I changed mine to redline oil and it is smooth as a babys butt. With mine in the morning it was a little tough in clutch engagment, but with new fluid she is smooth now.

You know what, I'm having the same problem. It kinda of feels like the clutch is having a hard time grabbing or slipping?. I dont think its a big problem though. Once the car is warmed up and going it totally fine. Let me know what happens when you take your car to the dealer? I might take my car in soon too.

I dont know whats going on? Did I do a good job of explaning?? I asked the head Mechanic there and I have known him for long time if I should change my Tranny fluid and he said no. I asked him about the shavings left behind and he said that there is a big magnet the colects them?? I dont think he is leying to me. I think they are full but they will check on FRI. Exactly its like the clutch is having hard time grabbing.

Right there with ya!

Yeah guys, live in Chicago and I have exactly the same thing. I find that it tends to kind of bog out if you are at the lower rpms, and then picks up again once you hit about 2000-2500 or so. I've just been giving her a little more gas and slipping the clutch very gently to avoid the bogging (never really shakes though, hmm, have that looked at). I've also noticed that the car only hits 10 psi boost when cold so it seems like an ECU thing to me.
If your dealer tells you anything, please post it. I've got my 5000 mi checkup coming soon so I'll see what they say.
Glad to know it's not just me!

I dunno...? My car shakes when i start it up...? Is that what you're talking about? The car will be idling and then every ~20 seconds ill feel a vibration from the engine...It goes away when the car is warmed up? i dunno

I've been getting this 'clutch chatter' for the last month too. It never used to happen. Now it happens every time I start her, even today, when it was 70 degrees outside. I don't think that's cold. Yes, it goes away when it's warmed up. Anyone have a definitive answer, rather than, 'it's normal'? I'm sure it's normal, but I would like to know why it just occurred when it didn't before.

Any car will shake more when you first start it when it's cold. Then it smooths out as it warms up. I kind of think of it as the car shivering before it warms up. I had a 69 chevelle for my first car and you could see the seats shake when it was cold.
