My point was that it DID NOT happen before, and that this is something that developed over time.

It's clutch chatter

My clutch started to chatter when it was cold, then stopped after it was warm. This was when it had about 6K miles on it. Now it's getting toward 7K miles and it chatters all the time if i don't slip it at fairly high rpm, but it's worse when it's cold. This is normally a sign that the clutch is giving out and/or throwout bearing is wearing out and/or flywheel is warped, which _really_ sucks. I haven't ever drag raced my car and i haven't even had a good chance to drive it hard much considering it's been raining fairly constantly since I bought it in January. I think the clutch is just a piece of **** IMHO.

will thats what i thought. but the weird thing is it started doing this when the car had 6k for about 500 miles then, it stopped completly even when its cold???? so i was like whatever. now i moved to CA and the car has 11k and the hole thing started again all over???i think my clutch will die on the 20k mark which mitsu planned too. no hard feelings i knew that the clutch in this car is not top notch.

I have noticed this also when I drive off when the car is still cold. It shudders in 1st when slowly taking off, then after a few minutes, it's gone and smooth clutch engagement. From what I'm reading, it's normal. I only have 4k miles and no launches. I can't see the clutch going bad already. I thought symtoms of a bad clutch is RPMs building and not accelerating at the same rate usually felt in the upper gears and not 1st gear or 2nd. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Bringing back an oldie. Its Clutch Chatter. Its probably a bad spring or a plate bent. I have it too and it ****s with my first gear shifting...makes me nervous im going to get that obnoxious rumble.
