You took out the spline that goes in the transmission to the tcase on the drive side right? If not the tcase will only come out so far. Do u got it completely off the tcase? If so what u got to do is push the tranny upwords like spin it It will fall right out. If u dnt spin it up towards 1. 2 o'clock I will just be stuck on ur subframe gl!

Just double checking cuz i just dropped my motor back in my car last night so its all fresh.

Your 100% sure the throw out bearing is release?

You took out both splines?(out from each end where the axels go?)

And is your transfer case completely off the tranny?

If those three are yes', then is should come right off. Only thing i could think of if its jamming against the side of the car that your not seeing, or the tranny spline ir rusted to the clutch disc?(never heard of that happening but just a sudjection.)

another thing your rear tranny mount makes it easy just taken it right off the tranny 3 bolts then the one bolt in the middle. give you more room to play with the tranny. u just got to keep going back n forth it can be a pain in the a$$ just did mine

The wedge collar needs released from the TOB or the trans will not come out ever. If its released the clutch fork will rest all the way over to one side and stay there.. if your fork arm is not forced to one side like its disconnected, then its not disconnected.

If it is, and its still not moving its cause there are pins that the trans rests on that stick out of block and trans.. use a big breaker bar type flat head and wedge it off. wedge AFTER the gasket type piece inbetween the trans and block.. the gasket /metal plate is bolted to the block itself.. it does not come out with trans.

hope this helped. also you need to pull the spline gear from the transfer case out also, or the trans wont disconnect from the tcase.

Dude start back from about step one and make sure everything is disconnected, its time consuming but making sure everything is off and in its place would be where to start. After that I would suggest a crowbar.......to get mine off the first time I had to get up under the car I had a jack up under the tranny and wedge the bar in between the bellhousing and the motor and give it a few good jerks, it actually pulled it off just enough so that I could give it that little twist and get it on out. And I would defnitly suggest following evoracingstars advice on take that rear tranny mount out, That mother gets hung on the subframe coming out and even more so going back in its a PITA. Good luck bro

Just in case you missed it, remember there is one bolt that is hard to get to, and easy to forget about. This is the one that goes from the transfer case side into the trans. It's usually easier to get to once the transfer case is separated from the trans. It's the only bolt that secures it from this side (excluding transfer case bolts). This bolt is located slightly above and forward of the transfer case. It's to reach it from the top.

yep. i was gonna mention that specific bolt also, but figured he seen it if he got to all the tcase bolts since its uptop and easy to see. but yes that bolt is retarded, and hard to even back out.. dont know what mitsu was thinking there.

lol, it's easy to miss the first time someone does one (I know from experience..lol). I think they like to stick one random bolt in there to throw people off and make it difficult...lol

Good luck to the thread starter.

if its the TOB, i would just unbolt the pressure plate from the motor and drop the tranny with the clutch and pressure plate...! I went threw this with my buddys car..
