Odd Clutch Issues

I've been trying to think over and over what it could be, and I figured I'd see if anyone here has seen this issue before. Here's a run down of the symptoms. (bled the clutch twice now, so that's no issue)

I'm going to replace the master and slave I think, just to eliminate (or hopefully fix the problem). But it seems more mechanical now, instead of a hydraulic issue.

The clutch itself feels lighter then normal recently. I noticed it about halfway home from the dyno last Thursday. It still holds power fine so it seems the pressure plate is healthy.

The engagement points vary, sometime 1/3 the way up, some times 90% the way up on the pedal.

Now the weird issue, I'll get locked out of gear if I miss a shift. And the pedal will only come about 3" off of the floor. The clutch will still function some what. I'm not sure what's happening first, if I'm actually missing the gear and hitting the limiter is causing this, or if the clutch fuhked up and locked me out. Causing me to miss. Chicken or the egg?

Once I put my foot underneath the pedal, and pull it back, it will act fine again. But then start feeling very "light" again.

Any ideas?

Also, should mention..

It's an ACT (the higher pressure one) pressure plate, with a new 6-puck sprung disc. Stock flywheel.

First try bleeding your clutch, then perhaps doing a proper clutch adjustments as well.

Normally on an aftermarket clutch upgrade, clutch engagement points should be adjusted a bit higher than normal. This also prevents the so call high rpm lock out.

Do a quick search and you shall find.

Hope this helps.

I bled it, and I adjusted it. That still doesn't explain why the pedal will randomly not come back up after an encounter with the limiter.

I did a search, couldnt successfully find much that pertains to me.

I've had this clutch for around 30k miles, besides the new disc. About 1,500 on that.

I'm not really familiar with how exactly clutch works... but sounds to me like a hydraulic type issue...

Bro it sounds like your having the same issue nobody could really help me solve, unfortunatly Im in afghan right now and I wont be able to check it out till I get back, but after reading and reading on the forums this is what Im gonna try. Well first when I did my clutch swap I was adjusting the pedal and disaster struck, I went to high with the adjustment and when I pushed down it bent the clutch pedal rod.......well I replaced the master after that and it started feeling real light. I bled it about 8 times and it just wouldnt ever get any stronger. The only thing Ive really found to do that might help correct it is 1. Removing the pill in the slave, and 2. replacing the clutch line. What Im hoping its not......I didnt tighten a bolt all the way on the bell housing, or some other major issue that has to do with the trans or input shaft. Anyhow good luck with it and let me know how it turns out, Ill be back in a month and Im tearing into it, if I find what my issue is Ill let you know.
