Im pretty happy with the S2's. Pretty sure I saw 39psi somewhere in the early/mid 4000rpm range, I just feel like the extra top end the S3's would give over the S2's would be very worth it especially on the 2.4.

How do they compare to the BF272?

Like stated before, there is nothing better than calling Greg at gsc because he could help you the best since im sure he knows his cams and waht applications to use them with. I think the s2's would be perfect though for most anything.

I want to do the S3's because theyll help the motor breathe a little better especially up top.4 and I feel like theyll push me an additional 25-40whp past where I am now. My biggest concern is piston to valve clearance.

Anyone have any input?
this is a great thread, my mechanic convinced me that my new build would allow me to go much more agressively with my cams, i had kelford 272 but because of the new build my power output would allow for gsc power s3 cams

If I got S3's and the valve did contact the piston while checking for clearance, what exactly needs to be done to make it so that everything will work properly?

If it hits your gonna need alot of work. Rule of thumb is 60 thou on the intake side and 80+ on the exhaust. I have seen intake valves setup at 40 thou slightly kiss the piston.

Check it in a full range of motion, I start 20 deg btdc and go to 20 deg atdc.
