how much boost you plan on running? are you on a stock bottom end? If so you probably won't be able to run a high enough boost so a "crushed" stock bov might be sufficient for quite some time but if you want you can get the new synapse bov that recently came out that's my $0.02......

The Synapse design beats all the old types. No diaphragms to blow, no fiddling with different springs to find the right one, and it holds 150psi without a hitch. It just works.

the new synapse in pull orientation.

for me, my new synapse dv drives as good as the metal 9 bov, holds more boost & has better ramp up response.

when i was target 28psi for my evo9 bov, i swapped valves & went to 30.5psi without changing the duty map!

I havent tried running more boost, but i know it will hold it with ease.

+1

It couldn't have been said better. I ran a tial before (stock turbo, fully bolted, sd, 25-26lbs), and had major surge issues. Tried a couple springs (7lb and 11, also cut 11). Swapped to synapse, connected with just port A, no more surge. At all. It works.
