It is a piggy back unit for the ecu, so it allows alot of functions through from the ecu such as cold start , temp control and other things of that nature. This unit was designed for the WRX which i had on my rex before, which added quite a bit of power and is very tuner freindly. Allowing you to add different items and adjust for them. I was gonna go with dyno flash but I change my car like I change my clothes. You can go to this website to get more aquainted with this item www.turboxs.com

Id rather spend 999 than close to 2000 for about the same functionality. Plus you wont have to create your maps like aem , you will be able to DL maps from the website. But everyone one has there own preference.

Will the Evo Utec be the Tuner version that allows wideband 02 and Gameboy Advanced display usage for tuning?

What are the benifits of the UTEC over the XEDE?

Shiv - Maybe you can answer this one.
