FP stuff is great I have used a red since back in 2001. Good stuff and innovative guys there.
This is yet another offering in the market, and it is the only turbo that makes over 450 wheel hp that spools like stock I mean just like stock if not better.

turbo is 1800 right sean so in your honest opinion on average on 93 oct fully built 2.4 and head of course could this lay down 525-550. NO meth injection just straight pump gas only??? or is one basically going to make 450-470 just better spool??

The install kit (cams and springs) is a limited run and after this the turbo ONLY will be 1899. Thats still a smokin deal for a stock frame BB turbo that seems to perform with the Full and HTA green.

Why would you think it would lay 525-550whp down on strait pump? There is hardly anybody even achieving that with an FP Black with built everything...I would highly doubt even your setup will lay those numbers down unless pushed hard. That HKS turbo just doesn't have the airflow for those numbers. Your later guess would be more in the ballpark most likely from whats been done by others.

This is completely untrue. I was hitting 510/520 on a Green. I have a red on the car now and am working on the tune. Numbers on it to follow.

HKS looks like a great turbo, but don't spread misinformation about other products when you don't know the truth about them.

my car did 600whp on e85 on a red. On pump off wastegate boost only before SD tune it made over 440whp. I dont ever run pump so its pointless to me to see how much it could make.

Alot of what turbo you want depends on what fuel you plan on using and what supporting mods. 91 octane, 93 octane, E85, pump meth, etc. Normal power on a Red on 91/92 octane is mid 400s. You can always make more but alot depends on total combination.

Rockman,

Are you having doubts regarding your black? the hks sounds great and is good to be bb versus fp journal, but isn't the issue on exhaust gas temps etc still a problem on the new hks and fp blacks?

more power will come from the red...the hks just moves the powerband to the left..torque is just there instantly...in many ways better than my cars that have large displacement and are naturally aspirated...there power builds with rpms...evo has it from 3000 rpms to redline...evo gets most seat time...
