I also have a question for you about the XEDE. My only reservation is that it isn't completely plug-n-play, having to do a little wire pulling here and there. This hasn't changed in the last several months has it?

One can be arranged sometime in January. Later this month, I'm going to Colorado for a 2 day tuning session. Should have some time to spare when I get back.As for the XEDE, only one wire needs to be pulled from the connector. And that is only if you want the XEDE to control boost. If not, leave it alone and plug in the harness. However, pulling that single wire takes most people about 2 minutes. It's not what I would consider a tough job. The whole install (minus the pill extraction) shouldn't take more than 10 minutes. Although I've timed myself at 2 min 20 seconds which even includes taking off the glovebox

Cheers

If it's from APS, the system is based around the Unichip. FWIW, we're a Unichip dealer ourselves and, unless things have changed, the Unichip itself is only tunable by Unichip dealers. This means that it is not user-programmable as it requires proprietary software and a tuning module.
My 2c,
Shiv

Thanks , now you have put me back to the begining lol . Either your Xede or Brainflash from Works . A dyno day in L.A would be great Shiv , that way i can get the Xede and also have you tune it ...
An if you plan to run a bigger turbo can the Xede handle it with also upgrading bigger injectors and fuel pump ?. An im sure you would have too do something about the boost cut off ...

Alex have you seen marks car? the red evo thats always at brainstorm, I took him to pick it up the other day and his aem works perfectally. His check engine light is his shift light. But tuning the aem is really expensive, not counting all the sensors and exhaust mark fryed from being on the dyno for hours.

Ask him about it.

Right, but my concern is that ive heard of several people having the connectors on their wire become loose after uninstalling and reinstalling the unit many times...thats why i ask

Hmmm I hate this to many parts not enough money. I want a piggy back rather than a flash, just makes more sense and is more flexable. But brainstorm is a lot closer than vishnu, so thats going to sway my money. Plus I have seen Roshans skill in tuning through Marks car which is incredible, btw alex he swapped the plugs and now the car is good to go, no more spark scatter.
nice. btw, i think shiv is coming down to LA in january he there is enough interest. Im in for sure for the xede, now that i know now the APR unit works, and the more the merrier
from some old posts, i think its 10, but ill let him clear that up. And hopefully, if hes going to be out here anyways, shiv may let us slide with a little less.
But you can count me in 100%.
