AVO's plug-n-play piggy back

Has anyone heard of AVO's plug-n-play piggy back? Brainstorm is supposed to be getting those in on the 3rd of December, and their $700.

I had originally wanted to go with the XEDE, and am still leaning towards it, but the AVO unit seems like it may be a better deal, since it it 200 cheaper, completely plug-n-play (no wire pulling and replugging), and is user programmable as well.

yeah tell me about it. When Brainstorm gets them in, i am going to have my car dynoed again, once with only my 3" turboback, and once with the turboback PLUS the avo piggyback. Ill post it up here, but if anyone else has any info on the AVO in the meantime, feel free to post.

i had a talk with him , its by APS and not AVO . You can see it on the APS package that he offers that includes the piggy back . The map should be enough for the turbo back 3' exhaust .
Im also thinking of getting that or the AEM , but i dont plan to change the stock Turbo , well at least not for a while ...

If it's from APS, the system is based around the Unichip. FWIW, we're a Unichip dealer ourselves and, unless things have changed, the Unichip itself is only tunable by Unichip dealers. This means that it is not user-programmable as it requires proprietary software and a tuning module.

Shiv

Thats good info to know Shiv. BTW, when are you having your dyno day in LA?

I also have a question for you about the XEDE. My only reservation is that it isn't completely plug-n-play, having to do a little wire pulling here and there. This hasn't changed in the last several months has it?

and GOKU, i'd wait on the AEM, seems like everyone thats using it is having random problems here and there, not to mention the fact that having it tuned isn't exactly cheap...

We are tuning the AEM as we speak for the EVO8 . I dont see any issues at all. In fact it is going very smoothly.
I had heard alot about isssues with the unit. But to this point none have shown up as problems.
