That is a great deal, considering that I paid the $200 for mine for my stock IX turbo. And even on a stock IX turbo I picked up 20whp...it just makes sense...

It seems to be a Spiteful move.. The cover would have no ill effects and if anything stop the surge for those who do like to make power with the turbo.. We ran the BBK at 35psi and it didnt blow up.. it surged like hell but lived..

Seems your 20whp gain is NOT TYPICAL according to CBRD.. Which I would believe ETS #'s are accurate and you did gain.. We found the same with the upgraded covers when we tested OEM vs 84mm

I am still not completely satisfied with how my car is running with the BBK Full on it...But I've hopefully fixed some issues with my Tial Q bov and I will also be installing and testing my Toxicfab Tubular manifold this week...Probably sometime later in the winter I will be upgrading my Full to a B and I would be VERY interested to see what it would do with one of the FP covers on it even though Chad won't warranty it...The FP cover was pretty cool and worked on my FP Red but was kinda annoying on longer trips....

Yes, but $75 isn't that big of a deal since going to a bigger turbo is imminent.

consider this,

there are many people that arent even aware that there is a locating pin in the mitsu housings... which we've seen aligned wrong and broken off after someone sent a cover out for coating etc.... I'm sorry but we are not going to warranty another manufacturers upgraded part that was machined off of our product as an upgrade for an issue we have not had to address.

If that upsets you I'm very sorry, there are alternative choices in the stock housing market. By all means examine them and if you feel that is a better fit for you then you should make that choice!

Cheers

The HKS cover doesnt use stock style mounting and would not work with an FP cover based on an MHI center section. This would require the development of a whole new cover for one turbo and FP prob doesnt want to risk the development costs on such a small market. They would also have to charge a LOT for each cover to make it worth the while and that would deter buyers.

The cover will not go on if the pin is not lined up. the snap ring will not go in the groove. If someone is bad enough mechanic that they force one together then that would be a good reason to cancel a warranty. And it would be easy to tell when this has happen. But to cancel all warranty for swapping out cover because its an FP cover is a gay reason to weasel out of someones warranty. Obviously you have more turbo failures than what the public knows about. Be good for you to find reasons to void warranties.

FP turbos > BBK

Of course it doesnt even make sense to buy a BBK anymore. The HKS turbo just kills it .
