4g64 with 2.0 water pump adaptation !!!HELP!!!

Hi Guys with the 2.4 builds can you tell me if you had to do any modifications to the water pump pulley while using the MAP or SBR adapter plate? the plate with gaskets are about 3-5 mm in thickness which would push the pump put of alignment. Can you guy let me know what you have done

My SBR adapt was a little thick I think. My pully rubbed te water pump. You can mill the plate down a little or use a washer on back side of pully. You will need to do some creative adjusting on the alt. bracket too.

Thats strange. In my case the pulley is too far out from the alignment of the other pulleys as the plate pushes the water pump away from the block

Yes water pump is pushed out, making it closer to the pully. As said above you could use a 4g64 water pump. I used creative spacing.

We modify the waterpump by welding it and the surfacing it real quick. Works good and doesnt have an additional gasket to worry about leaking.

Here is a picture with the welded spots circled.

this is the pump that went on my ER built 4g64 project.

15k miles so far with no issues.
