Question Evo 6 heavy duty clutch slipping HELP!!

Hi all, First off, this is my first post so I hope Ive posted this in the correct section.

I own a 99 evo 6, just got it tuned and launch control added, now producing 228 RW Kws, and 400 RW Nm, The clutch has only done 10,000 Km's and its a Exedy heavy duty clutch kit (incl pressure plate.etc) Ive never dumped the clutch, but after my 4th take off using launch control, the clutch started slipping in all gears if I use more than 50% throttle , the clutch fluid was in need of changing so I bleed the clutch with new dot4 oil, made no difference (no surprises there) What do you think is the problem???? Many thanks in advance for any help . Amon

Is it a Twin plate clutch?

The wear has a lot to do with the way you drive/engage it. but about 6K miles is very little to wear it down already.

its a single plate. from what I can see and feel in the gearbox there is no oil on the fly wheel ether. so that not the problem.

Maybe you have fried the clutch, since the exedy stage 1 is still organic I think. I use the stage 2 in my V and can slip it badly if I do an agressive launch (also have launch control set with Ceddy mods). I get the best results by launching it with a little over halve throttle and floring it once the car is actualy moving.

If you clutch is fried, the it will slip in all gears like you describe regardless of how new or old it is.

Yes it is an organic clutch, if I have fried it, will it need replacing or will it wear off after a few drives?? I asked two mechanics what they think it is.. they both agreed it was a pressure plate blown. and the clutch does feel softer than normal. I'm guessing I'll have to take the engine and gearbox out and see whats up?? ive taken the engine and box out before and it's not very fun!
