Transmission gears on my 06 evo

Alright guys I've got an 06 evo ix, with an act street clutch. And my trans is shot, and my clutch is junk. It locks me out in almost every gear and the synrcos are pretty much shot. The car is coming off the road this month for the winter, and I want to do a rebuild. And no the trans wasn't ruined from me, it was the previous owner. But I hopped on it becaise it was a good price and my father owns his own transmission shop, so I figured he could just rebuild it. I'm wondering what gear sets would be the best for me. I was going to go with buschurs bushwhacker kit. But I was wondering if there was anything else out there worth looking into. I know of shep but Idk if he just builds them. I just need the gears. Any help? Thanks

I'm not sure about Shep but I know TRE offers a bunch of different rebuild kits

If your dad owns a tranny shop he should be able to get all the parts you need. Some parts might have to come form If not you will have to do a 5-speed swap cause Buschur and Shep dont do 6-speed upgrades that I know of, but could be wrong.

Well I'm not looking for just a rebuild. I want an upgrade. I just looked on sheps website and they sell a kit for 900, and buschurs kit was right around the same price. I'm just trying to save all the money for labor. But thanks guys

Doing the work yourself will save you a lot of money, the 2 that you are looking at are both a good choice. Either one you go with Im sure you will be satisfied with.
