what turbine wheel?

You guys looking at this kit know its a straight T4 right?

Your talking 14 psi at around 4700rpm depending on the turbine wheel.

IMHO ther is no point in going straight T4 unless you are using a T61 Ptrim or larger. The GT 30 and 35r cover all the ground up until that point with much less lag.

Just wondering why did you chose that turbo, seems like a strange selection.

Will the tang housing work on that manifold with out hiting anything?
How about the downpipe?
Good questions!
The on center housing is used to make the placement of the turbo more appealing. We get better placement with the larger compressor. Other wise with our setup you would not have all that room with the tangical inlet. We find that it works well with our manifold construction.
We use a Stage 5 T3 turbine wheel and a .58 TO4 turbine housing.
Spoolup is fantastic. THIS IS NOT A STRAIGHT T4.
Sorry the caps were locked half way thru. But i left them to make a point. A straight TO4E would have tremendous lag.
This unit does not. The system can also incorporate various turbines so we are not stuck on just this match up.
If you have a different charger in mind you would like to use we could accomidate you no problem.
A GT series charger can be used and would be of great benefit.
The consumer has the choice.
Regards Nick

Are you using thin wall stainless?

Because if you are I can guarantee you will have problems with cracking. This is why we are using 8 gauge SS. It is super expensive and hard to find, but won't crack. Just wondering.

RNR,
We use 65 wall (16 guage) 321 stainless steel for all of our tubing....
Now in over four years of providing, grassroots and private race companys, manifolds we have had NOT ONE, again NOT ONE crack. NEVER.

Now here is our guarantee.
Our warranty policy is simple. IF you ever have a problem with any of our custom machined products including a cracked manifold, it will be replaced for free anytime. No time limit.
We stand behind everything we do. It is what gives you positive credibility.
That is another reason for the tremendous price break for the system. We want people to see what our workmanship is like.
Yeah we could cut corners and use 304 or 308 SS but it is certainly not as durable as what we use. Also the weight savings you get is phenominal in comparison.
Nevermind the fact that the manifolds are tig welded inside and out.
Thanks for the replies
Regards Nick

BTW we arent exactly newbies to SS either. My partner ANDY and his family have been in the sheet metal business for generations.
I think we know a little about the subject concidering ALL they do is work with stainless day in and day out.

THIS is the reason we chose this turbo. For any further mods later or just for now it is good for 350-600hp. AGAIN depending on many things. EMS is one key part of it. Then the strength of the internals. That is where Stage 4 comes in
Now even if the car is highly modified and volumetric efficiency is increased you will and can surpass the 600 hp mark with ease

Nick,

Thanks for the pictures, the kit looks really promising!!! Can't wait for some dyno numbers. Also is the wastegate set up an external dump or re-routed back into the downpipe? I love the sound of external!!!!
