Angry New CEL ON NOW!!! Damn...

I am running Dynoflash, CUsco Oil Catch Can, Custom Ground Kit, HKS DP, UR 3" High Flow Cat, and HKS CB. I have been running with this for 9000 miles with no CEL. I also have a headunit in my car which I removed and placed aside for probably a couple months. I removed the HU and added on a silencer since my father needs a car to drive during his business trip to the US. It'll be safer w.o a HU and quieter without a silencer. It's much quiet but suddenly, the CEL is on. I believe it might be the cause of the silencer pushing back some of the exhaust into the O2 sensor probably. The UR Hi Flow Cat was on the car for a few thousand miles with no CEL. Will it be the silencer? The HU shouldnt do aything right?

what i dont understand is...if you plan to mod your car, WHY dont peps get a scanner/code reader. This is probably the best thing that you can buy for your car if you plan on modding your car. YOu can tell what your car is doing and if you throw a code...you can see what code it is...

here is one place to get them...

You could also go to pep boys or auto zone, whatever large parts dealer in your area, and have them read the error codes for free.

It plugs into the OBD2 socket. That's it.
When you add more sensors down the road (also available; they use Defi sensors for the kit), it plugs into the back of the unit as well. No wiring.
The unit itself is a single DIN model and therefore installs like a radio.

Or if you don't want to spend that much, you can a pocketlogger. http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=plobdii

it will get engine codes and also record other valuable tuning info like timing, 02, etc. It's like under $200.

I am the North American distributor for those, but you can get them from Ralliart soon as well if you want to pay their price.
The single DIN version is just now shipping to me in the first batch for EVO8. The main unit (everything you need to pull codes, reset the ECU and read stock sensors) is $478 with free shipping.
