Preload:
Went to 2 full turns, thought marginally better, but not perfect.
Went to 7 (half of the 14 total available, kindof a bubble sort method), that was worse.
Went back to 4, thought much better but still worse than 2.
Put in on 3 and I'll give it a shot tomorrow AM on the way to work.
Still on Pull, b only.

Question for you guys
Just purchased the big Synapse bov from a good guy on here and am going to install it in the stock bov location using an ETS intake and stock UICP'ing.
I have a MBC with 1 line connected to the wastegate and the other to the turbo/turbo pipe.
A. Will I fit the BOV okay in that location?
B. What is my best bet for vaccum lines and how to go about doing T into which lines?

B: you shouldn't T for the DV/BOV it should have it's own dedicated line from the IM. Couple pages up I documented the hoops I had to jump through.

Anyone here have a weird howling with their Synapse DV? When I build boost around -10 to 0 vacuum I have a howling noise that seems to be pinpointed towards the DV. I have done multiple boost leak tests and the DV does not leak.. Any suggestions..??
Spring settings were always around 4, then turned up to 10, still there..
Push with line on B

I am running push mode B port, whatever preload it comes with and Mil.Spec's spring.
I don't do any 5th gear high rpm driving (not enough island for that) but it has been working flawlessly for me so far.
I am also using the quick disconnect fittings with no leaks.

the ride in this am was entirely uneventful. I could get it to bring acceleration up short but NOT buck.
it looks like for me in pull mode, port b only, the decision is between 2 and 3 turns of preload. I'll go back and forth a few times to check it out. then I'll compare that best to what Aby said was favorite with stock spring: pull mode, a port only, zero preload.
fun fun. I want some quick disconnect hose clamps so I can change mode more quickly ... recommendations?
the synapse vid where they install on a nissan had a clamp that was put in place with pliers. or would turn key be better?

When I let off the throttle after being in boost the car BUCKS really hard...
idk if that's the right word for it... but basically feels like the car is being pulled BACK... like boost comes on, then take foot off of throttle, and the car flys back... it really throws off the balance of the car. I want to take my car to the track but I know this would cause problems... I've tried nearly every single setting I can think of...
Pull mode/push mode with a, b, a+b, abys spring, no preload, some preload
Should I just get a different dv? I thought this was supposed to be the best DV on the market yet there's a whole thread dedicated to the problems that arise with it lol...
