It's about an hour job if you know what you're doing from taking the TB off the car to getting it back on after seal install.

If you've never done it before, expect it to take a couple more hours.

First off the t.body seals will not have that effect on your car boosting the way it is..You might have a loose clamp or a hose popped off..Do you have any check engine lights on??

Sounds like you might be running off wastegate pressure

Its really easy task to do. I did my about a month ago. Be real careful when putting on the seals. Get some dielectric grease.

Emery and the STM group are great bunch of guys and gal(s) and know their stuff so feel confident in taking it there for resolution. If you're trying to do it on your own and diagnosing it...it all depends on how far gone the shaft seals are. Once you replace them you can do another boost leak test but it does sound like wastegate pressure which means something could be connected incorrectly, generally a vacuum line issue. Are you sure your boost controller vacuum lines aren't hooked up reversed?

If your battery and brake lights are on you need to check electrical connections around the battery and alternator. That's a tell tale sign your alternator is going out and you could be running the car off battery power. Check voltage on battery, start car, disconnect negative terminal while the car is running, if it dies your alternator is dead, if it runs then it's probably your battery.

so just dropped off the car to the mechanic to get my throttle body shaft seals done and my boost leak checked and i found out why my brake light and battery light are on as well

when i brought the car for my build a few months ago the alternator was getting ****ty and i had a new battery in the car and the alternator ended up being needed to be replaced so when i changed the alternator i recharged the battery to jump the car and everything seemed fine and it seemed to hold the power well

then today when i popped the hood at the shop right before they were about to work on it .. battery acid was leaking out the battery .. so im picking up the car tomorrow with a BRAND NEW BATTERY and the shaft seals and boost leak fixed and the engine bay cleaned out and hopefully this wont happen again :/

anyone else have this issue !?

As far as stm goes emery always give's me helpful advise and brian sends me candy when I order parts from them..
