what to change along with timing belt ??
Alright, so im goin to get my timing belt replaced+ balance belt. I heard the full kit which includes tensioners and pulleys isnt necessary. Although ive seen a few threads mentioning the water pump. So along with installing cams ill get the timing belt and balance, water pump, and hydraulic tensioner replaced. Any other thing I should keep in mind before going ahead with install?? Thanks guys..
the extent of mods is up to you and your budget. but getting a full kit isnt a bad idea. I will be doing the same thing soon, and after numerous conversations with the very helpful guys at MAP i will be ordering their kit. the water pump doesnt "need" to be replaced depending on condition, but you might as well do it all at once, but thats just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt.
depending on what cams your doing (good idea since youll be in there anyway) you might want to consider head studs and possibly a valvetrain kit. everything else youve pretty much nailed. gl with the service!

i would just change it all. be safe about it.
tensioner pulley
hydraulic tensioner
idler pulley
balance shaft tensioner pulley
bs belt
timing belt
get OEM everything.
change waterpump if its a 120k mile change, if its only 60k no need. i change it tho regardless.
