Just installed a bigger FMIC and IC Pipes and now the car is slower :(
Not really. IF they arent leaking they arent leaking. No need to go through the trouble of R&R a tb if its not leaking. ACTUALLY testing his system and finding out for sure is better than just randomly replacing parts.
A boost leak tester can be made out of Home Depot parts for about $5. Search for info on how to build one. Use an air compressor to pressurize the system with the tester attached to your turbo's intake. It's a lot easier to find leaks on cars that are not running
I need to build myself on can it be done for a 4ich setup if so and how any pics or info to do it?? thanks.
Ok guys I fixed it! I couldn't find the leak doing the test. I was only able to hear it when I was running the car. So, I just jacked up the car and went back at it clamp by clamp. At the end I was pretty confident I had covered everything and that they were properly installed
. I took a test drive and it was gone
I guess the lesson I learned from this is do it right, do it once lol. Next time I'll just take my time and install anything patiently and will not finish until I'm confident enough that I have installed it properly. Then I'll do a double check
Thanks again to all of you for your time and advice!

SOmetimes you might have a small leak where your never gonna hear it with the car running, youll barely hear it hissing during a boost leak test. That is why its best to take your time and go through all the couplers one by one, then after its all good, go for a beat run with some tools JUST in case. This way you verify its all good and you wont get stranded with a clamp that blew off on the highway.

Just use a diff size, but same instructions, GL

This happened to me when I first got the evo and I learned my lesson quick about doing a boost leak test anytime I mess with the intercooler pipes.
i drilled a hole in a home depot coupler and put a tire valve stem on it, i used a tire inflater and went up to 25 psi herd like three leaks in different spots, cost only 3 bucks, if you would of done this test right in the first time you wouldn't gone through the trouble....
