Coolant thermostats/housings CP9A vs CT9A .
Hi all , as was mentioned in the 100 octane GT II 7460R thread Evo life started with the version 8 and a 6 CP9A is probably a rare beast in the US .
Having said that you would have had 4G63T engines in 99 and 2000 so someone may know what the differences are between CP9A and CT9A thermostats and their thermostat housing assemblies .
The reason I ask is because the Ralliart CP9A thermostat is I believe 70C opening where the CT9A one is 76 , my std 99 CP9A is 82 and I'd like to run it at 76 because I think 70 is a bit cool for a roadie particularly in winter .
My R33 Skylines std thermostat is 76C and it runs fine all year round .
So , can anyone please tell me if the CT9A's lower thermostat housing on the end of the head is different to a 99 CT9A and if so can it be fitted and run CT9A thermostats .
Thanks in advance , cheers A .
