i have this system sitting new in the box that i bought a while ago. if i dont find something better i will just add a muffler in the cat area. if i find something better then i will sell it. i have spent literally hours searching and reading posts and there is so much conflicting info i was better off not looking in the first place. the problem is what one person calls quiet, another calls loud.

You have a 700HP daily driver?? I think it's gonna be pretty tough to quiet that beast!! I put in a resonated test pipe and that quieted my Perrin TBE quite a bit!! There is a guy in New Berlin that has a stock exhaust in his basement... My buddy has an AMS TBE and it's quieter than mine, but the RRE takes the cake for stealth sound. Good luck with your hunt!!

On a side note I am in Milwaukee for another day or two shoot me a PM I haven't seen a single Evo since I've been back!

THe GReddy Evo2 was very quiet when I had my IX. I mean sure it tapered down at the cat but nothing a muffler shop can't fix.

i have ams tbe with resonated test pipe. i certainly wouldnt call it quiet. my cams make a lot of noise but even so it rattles things off of walls when in my garage. it would be nice to see an exhaust that makes the same power and half the noise but until that is magically possible the clutch just goes in when cops are around..seems to work ok.

Get a vibrant inline muffler welded in your exhaust, not that difficult. Done

Im not expecting it to be as quiet as stock, aint going to happen and i realize that. I just want to make it as quiet as i can get it within reason. My sti made 540whp and was quieter than stock at idle and low revs, but fairly loud at wot. If i get it close to stock from idle to 2,500rpm and anything but terribly loud at wot then i will be very happy.

my friends car same exhaust:

I believe the exhaust is around $550-$600 from RRE

this might help too:

I think i will just add another muffler to the magnaflow system i have and if thats still too loud ill add a resonator in addition. Should be as good as the rre stealth as they use a magnaflow too. I have all winter to change my mind. Thanks for the input so far!
