evo sat for 3 years

I am currently looking at an evo that has sat for the past 3 years. The owner has driven it around the block maybe once a year if that. The car has sub 60k miles on it. It also has idling issues when its warm which i think are because of a bad iac. The car started up and drove with a new battery. The lifters were pretty noisy upon initial start up but then they quited down. Mods are tbe, intake, hks 264's. Is there anything I should be concerned about for the car sitting that long?

Yeah, the concern would be the price of all repairs/upgrades.

Fuel is probably gunk. $ Walbro and injectors(bigger)
60K service, never trust rubber that has sat around for years.
Tires- Same, flat spotted.
Brake fluid flush.
Oh yeah, IAC, (Amazon)

Just keep this in mind before you think of any other upgrades.

Depending on the price, it could be a good buy. Be prepared to spend money fixing a lot of seals and gaskets.

I already know it needs new tires, and the 60k done. Along with the iac. The buyer wants around 10k. The car does have a new clutch and brakes already done.

Find me one for 12-13k with under 100k on it.... Pretty sure that wont happen.

I should add the car is original owner and has a clean carfax.

For around 10k and under 60k miles. What year and model? Could be a great deal, but as stated before be prepared for some seal and gasket problems and just get a new engine gasket kit and go from there...

It's an 03

Because he didnt know how to fix the idle problem and didnt have the money. The car has a good tune. Started up and drove fine. In fact all the work done to the car was done by a local shop.

I am not asking whether i should buy it or not. I am asking what I should be looking at or replacing for it sitting so long.

All fluids flushed
60k matience done
new tires
iac replaced

Throttle body shaft seals, intercooler pipe clamps change out for T-Bolt clamps, windshield wiper blades... I would also be sure you have at least 1k plus int the bank for when the clutch goes out...
