Has anyone gotten thier head ported by MAP they gave me a quote for about 800$ for just the job. Im still awaiting pictures. Also anyone run 1mm bigger valves would that be a good setup for an fp red or should i leave stock size.

 

We ran 8s and made 900+hp on stock size valves on Buschur Stage 3 Ported head.. Id say stick to stock size..

Actually here is some pics of my head and stay stock sized valves, The flashing around the seats gets cut when a valve job is done and then he will blend it after the valve job.





Before porting

 

I run a stock throttle body and stock sized valves with a full port. The area right under the valveseat is kind of critical though to good flow. What is the 800 getting you for the port job? For us that is the full race port (think CNC without the CNC) like on Luke's car, mine, Jeff's, Big Jesse's, etc.
