GSC s2 revised specs!

Just wanted to clarify some misinformed members on the board about the s2 revisions. I actually was misinformed myself through other posts that the NEW specs were 278 intake/274 exhaust. This is not the case, I spoke with Greg@GSC and he informed me that the new specs were 274 intake/274 exhaust with 11.2mm of lift on the intake and 11.00 on the exhaust. This was done to combat some of the lag on the larger turbos like the Red and Black. There were only about 20 or so of the larger cams produced. Greg mentioned the revision was done around last May and there are no longer any of the older cams in circulation. Hope this helps...

Get the batch number off the cam and call GSC with it they should be able to tell you. Even so if there installed or not just keep them.

Greg corrected my unintentional misinformation back in the Red vs black thread which turned into a discussion about S2 vs M2 as well. All GSC cams come with a cam card so it should be pretty easy to tell what ones you have. In the event you arent sure and you know that your MIVEC table isnt advanced at idle the 274 versions have a very sedate idle, the 278 is a little lopey.

Whenever talk abt GSC S2 Cams and Greg, i just cant help myself to compliment the cams & Greg...
Great Cams and Greg were superb kind, helpful & knowledgible when i called him from Malaysia.

Hi Greg, if you see this post, do you have Omni suspensions for Evo CP9A?

Regards,
James
