best stage 2 cams for evo 8

Now that most of the reviews for cams are old, I don't know what to get. I'm debating between the GSC S2 and Kelford 272's. GSC's are 274/274 11.2mm intake, 11mm on exhaust while the kelfords are 11.0mm for both. (a lot of reviews for the gsc's are about the "good idle" for evo 9s.. i have an 8 so idgaf about dat).

Side note: 91 octane, stock frame turbo. Looking at the bbkB turbo in the future.
Thanks.

Evo 8 everything else being equal, the S2s were worth 25whp more than the Kelfords. There are a few threads on this.

GSC S2 are the cam of choice

Kelfords are good, but its hard to go against what JB posted. He's got a lot of experience with different products. I'd take his word for it and just go with the S2's. Plus they're proven to perform. What's not to love about them?

Kelford won the cam test but then again it was the first batch..Gsc 2 cams make more power on the new batch then kelfords..They have excellent mid range and get freaky up top the more you rev it the more power they make..I would recommend a beehive of some sort too. Also kelfords are known for phantom knock!

How high does the idle need to be set with S2s? How do drivability and off boost torque compare to something like GSC S1s or Comp 280s?

Thx.

Kelford won the cam shoot-out like three ****ing years ago. GSC has made at least 4 revisions that i know of since and now have the absolute best cams on the market. PERIOD. Don't take **** like that to heart. It is old and the car community is always evolving into better products.

GSC S2 FTW!
