Need help

okay so today me and some friends installed a 3586 turbokit on my car. by the time i got home there was oil everywhere. im not sure where it could be coming from. the motor is not blown cause theres no holes in the block and the car was running. just idling high for some reason. we thought it was a vaccuum leak and thats when i popped the hood and seen oil all over the place.

the oil is mainly focused on the bottom of the motor, no higher then the turbo and more towards the trans side.

we are thinking its the oil return where it bolts into the oil pan might be loose. im looking for any suggestions on what to check at this point. i know someone has to know what could cause this

definitely could be your oil return, can you be more specfic as where the oil was "all over the place"? ex. pass side, driver side, front, back, just underneath? this might help as well..

more towards the underneath the car. drivers side. on the trans. a lot looks to be on the starter. behind the turbo on the block. no oil is higher then the actual turbo. thats the best i can describe it and i cant get pics cause the car is not at my house yet

im not sure if the oil just was spread all over the place because of driving it home on the highway, or if it actually sprayed to all them places

start the car and rev a little to see where the oil is coming from but make sure you wipe the current oil so that you could easily spot where new oil will be coming from. also your idle might be a bit high if you have a boost leak so check all your couplers

no boost leak, i know that for a fact.

i checked the dipstick and im about a quart and a half low on oil. it has to be from that return line cause thats all we messed with installing this kit and theres no oil on the feed line.

is it possible for that much oil to come out of the return line in about 1 1/2 to 2 hours worth of driving?

im still stumped on what would cause the car to rev to 3,000rpm and just stay there like it was the set idle. then after a little bit it would go down to normal. then it went back to 3,000rpm. i noticed i had a CEL when i turned the car off before seeing all the oil. but until i get the oil leak fixed, i have no way to getting the CEL checked

any ideas?

update.

car is fixed. it was leaking oil out of the feed line at the banjo bolt (not the bolt itself, but where the line screws to the banjo fitting) and the oil return line was leaking at the fitting that connects to the oil pan. i ended up making my own gasket and it solved that problem
