BR double pumpers....
I am running a Full Blown DP now and am having some issues. If I can't get them resolved I will be getting a BR double pumper soon. Should have gone with one to start, but the price on this one used was hard to beat.... now I know why.
There's a comment on Page 3 about running out of fuel at a 1/4 tank, I can't tell what that means BUT if you have our double pumper and ran out of fuel at a 1/4 tank it's not the double pumper. It could be a number of things. Some guys get the siphon assembly on backwards and the siphon no longer works correctly, the other problem could be a damage or improperly installed float/sending unit. The double pumpers I purposely make on the long side so the socks sit on the bottom of the tank, this keeps fuel in them as long as possible.
The factory saddle tank is very well designed and works great for road racing, I have not heard of anyone running out of fuel at the pumps in hard corners.
I race my RS with our double pumper (obviously), it runs 9.0's and we run the tank as low as possible most of the time, meaning when the fuel light is on it's ideal, and never had any issues.
