BR double pumpers....

As most of you know, I get aggravated easily. Two or three negative comments on here lately have me fired up so I did some research.

I called our supplier for our fuel filters today and asked them if they could take a look and figure out how many filters we've used since we started building double pumpers.

Now before I report what I was told keep in mind that some of our kits do not use an external fuel filter. The EVO8-9's do. The DSM's do not as they have a filter in the engine bay, half of the Subaru's also have a filter in the engine bay also. We also sell some kits for the EVO8-9's that the customers don't want the filter because they use braided steel lines and run a different AN style filter.

462, yes, four hundred and sixty two kits that use a filter have been sold. This put into perspective these two or three guys who have some stupid comment to make about the kits.

We sell double pumpers to AWD Motorsports, STM, Ivey Tuning, Lucas English, Reese Tuning, Doug's Dynopower, Ross Sport, Dynoflash, Pruven, The Shop, ICS, Evolution Dynamics, MAPerformance, Tobz's Perfomance, Carz's Performance. I am sure there are other shops that have chosen to use the product and obviously a hell of a lot of individuals too. The point is, these shops are not using the product because it's second rate/outdated or improperly designed.

I want to make sure it's clear that for the last year or so there is no "standard" hardware used in our kits. The factory body is machined in a bridgeport to ensure it is flat inside. The fuel bulkhead fittings we use through the factory body are CNC'd aluminum along with the nipples that thread into the bulk head fitting. The internal hose is Gates Multi-fuel compatible, submersible line and the hose we use to get from the double pumper is also Gates Multi-fuel compatible hose. This means both hold up to ethanol/E85/methanol etc.

The wiring bulkhead fitting is also approved for use with fuel/ethanol and makes for a tight seal on the top of the housing for the wires to pass through.

The wye connection we also have CNC'd and the filters are stainless steel.

The fuel pumps are Walbro HP 255's. We use to only modify the pumps IF E85 was requested. With so many people going to E85 we have no made that standard in all of the kits so you don't have to worry about running out of fuel later and either modifying your pumps or buying new ones that are modified.

We build the kit for ease of installation. The kit goes directly on your stock fuel line. The stock fuel line on the EVO8-9 points straight up under the car towards the tank, this line has to be pushed/bent to a 45 degree angle for the hose to attach to, it is part of the design and the only mod that has to be done to the car, it's done with your hand and is extremely easy to do. Routing the hose any other way is impossible.

The switch we use is a pressure switch designed to activate at 6 psi, obviously we've sold over 462 of these switches too as they are shipped with every kit we do, that makes for well over 500 of them. The failure rate on the switch is low to say the least, I'd guess 5 of them since we started. I pre-wire the kit so all you have to do is attach the ground to the top of the tank with the pre-installed eyelet, attach the 12v wire to the pump, which is also already set up with a shrink wrap style butt connector. At the battery the eyelet is also on already and goes right on the positive battery post and then you run your boost/vacuum line to the pressure switch. The pressure switch and wiring are heat shrunk so the wires can't pull off and the switch is protected from moisture.

Obviously the kit has been proven, 160 mph trap speeds in a 2950 pound EVO on E98 says it is flowing a ton of fuel and it's not close to being out of fuel at that point.

I just felt the need to point this out as a few negative statements can go a long way in how people view a product.

Thanks for reading.

I have nothing but good things to say about my buschur double pumper. It works, what more does it need to do? The installation was super easy and everything was very straight forward.. cant ask for much more then a drop in double fuel pump system for your car that installs just like a factory fuel pump just about.

had the car as high as 42psi on fp black and couldnt even hear the pump with back seats in.... theres no need for another fuel pump in the market......... walbro works so why replace something that already works? and as you stated in the other post Dave, the modded walbro even outperforms that other pump.

My buschur double pumper has been great! Nothing but good things to say about it. I bought it earlier in the season with my build and has seen 75+ passes and multiple 9 sec passes on the Fp Black and still going strong

Well I can say I am most likely responsible for selling the better half of those systems. I hardly ever hear from customers who are displeased with thier purchase. There are the very few who claim to have problems but, are generally worked out via phone calls. Where I seem to get people calling about them are the customers who bought them used and did not get all of the parts. We generally do not like to sell pieces/parts to anyone who we do not have record of them being bought directly from us or one of our dealers. Now we realize that we can not tell me people to get lost just because them didnt buy it directly but, we take it with a grain of salt since there are so many people compying products today. Either way with the success rate of our double pumpers there is no reason for someone to go with any other system.

This must be in retaliation for the new 300lph fuel pump thread?

Dave makes a painless kit. Its not AN and billet aluminum, but then again neither is the price tag. It is what it is... and it works.

No, this is absolutely NOT in regards to the DW300 pump. Two completely different products. DW's pump is a single high output pump. This thread is from other comments made but nothing to do with competing with DW, as I said we are a DW dealer. I also already showed the flow of a modded single Walbro is the same as the DW300.
