Yes Sir, I'm a user as well, and about to use it again in a couple hundred miles. Wanna make a big difference? Take off the throttle body and use their Throttle Body/Air Intake Cleaner.

I've never used it personally but know people that have had good results on their turbo vehicles.

Kind of off topic but I've never had bad luck with the product. It really depends on how far gone the MAF sensor is. It also works great for cell phones that get dropped in liquids.

People tend to not use the straw that comes with the can for fear of the pressure breaking something. I just take the MAF out, hold it vertical and spray the cleaner until it runs clear out of the back. No scrubbing or brushing and let it air dry. Works for me.

Silly question, but after removing it do you spray it through the honey comb portion, or just spray the backside and let it drain through the honeycomb portion?

Both ways will work best. Don't worry about damaging it.

FYI the EVO has a "Karman-Vortex" airflow sensor

I know i'm resurrecting this thread from the dead but I have to. I've been taught, told and always advised never to clean a MAF with these sprays.

I had an idle and drivability issue, in neutral it would maintain 1500-2000 Rpm and on decel the Rpm wouldn't drop so it would feel like you are left foot braking the car. Checked and changed vacuum lines so only other thing could really be is MAF.

Anyways cleaned it like stated in the thread small sprays mostly on honeycomb and one spray on the back side, blew it all out with compressed air and let it sit for a while. Started it up did clear flood mode as I cleaned throttle body as well, idle was much better but after 5 mins of driving it Rpms were all over the place and after a hard pull EGT shot up to 900 degrees celsius.

Dont use anything besides compress air to "clean" a MAF.

Im willing to bet it was the compressed air that ruined the MAF, not the MAF cleaner spray. There are a lot of delicate electronics inside the sensor, and pressurized air can damage them. This is one reason the maf isn't designed to be in the pressurized section of the intake. When Ive cleaned out the MAF I just let it air dry, it doesn't take that long for it to evaporate anyhow.
