Exclamation Wide Open Throttle RPM DROP Problem: EVO 9 MR

I have had this known problem with my Evo 9 MR. Could it be a slipping clutch??? When ever I go WOT or near WOT at anything above 3000RPM, my revs hesitate and drop about 500RPM and then continue all the way to redline w/ no problem. For example I'll go WOT at about 4,000RPM and then the revs drop to 3,500 or 3,600RPM and then climbs towards redline with no further problems? Is this a slipping clutch or am I pulling timing? DOES ANYONE KNOW the answer to how to fix this well known issue? Please.. someone assist me.

It shouldn't be a slipping clutch. Usually a clutch slipping causes a spike in rpm. What's your setup and when did this start?

You need a new clutch.

do you have a tephra rom flashed into the car? if so, do you run no lift to shift? and if so on that one, do you rest your foot slightly on the clutch? if yes to all of them then dont rest your foot on the clutch and it should go away

No, i don't rest my foot on the clutch when i'm racing my evo at WOT.
I have a AMS ecu flash. It might be the clutch...?
