My car just started acting up lately (08 GSR) when accelerating lightly the rpm's go up about 1k and drop before the car starts to pull, and the pull is kind of restricted. It feels almost like an automatic trans thats going bad and slips. I first suspected the clutch to be going bad, but if you full throttle the car and shift at redline the clutch holds just fine, but even at WOT you still have to overcome this strange hesitation and rpm drop. It feels like the car is pulling timing or turning on fuel cut, but no DTC's are setting. Anyone have anything simillar happen?

Also, my car is completely stock, and I already checked and the FPR hose is connected.

The car is at the dealer right now they just called to tell me they found the timing chain tensioner is faulty. So I take it that the timing chain is stretched, that would kind of explain the problem, but with a stretched chain wouldnt the car code for a cam phase error?
