When you say 'old man' are you referring to yourself or to me? Cause if I didn't shave my head, you would notice that my gray hairs are multiplying exponentially this past few weeks... :P

But back on topic...I thought Al's reflash is coded onto some sort of solid state memory, and not a volitile memory that would be cleared upon loss of power. As I understand it, he actually deletes the original program in the ECU, then rewrites his own into it's place. If this is true, his reflash won't disappear when loss of power to the ECU is experienced....Afterall, you don't lose the ECU's OEM program when power is cut, right?

Yeah, you won't lose your programming if you reset the ECU.. The only way to get the factory programming back is to flash it with the original programming. In other words, you can reset the ECU, the trouble codes, the running parameters (the stuff thats stored from driving, like long term and short term fuel trims) etc.. But the Fuel maps, rev limit setting, boost setting, etc.. All are stored in NVRam and will not be lost.

Al disconnects the battery after he is completed tuning your car. I am not sure what the purpose is of that but it did not loose any of the settings that he changed in my dynoflash. He will get in your car and drive around testing certain parameters of your car. Once he detects what your car is or isnt doing correctly he will whipe your ecu out and load a base map into the ecu. After he does this you go for a number of drives with Al loading data into your ecu until it is 100% efficient and tuned. All I can do now when I am in my car is from a 10MPH roll if I punch it I can spin my tires its great. It is a whole different car in my mind now. I didnt mean to steal or intrude on your thread or anything DR. EVO but I am also as pleased as you are! Congrats!

We have a winner!
I am closing this thread, but the good news is there is now a sticky thread for the DynoFlash customers now.
It will stay on topic and it is in response to the requests like all the ones above.

To the original poster, you can highlight and copy your text and paste it into a new post in the new thread if you would like.
This goes for anyone who had a "Igot DynoFlashed" thread recently that was closed.
If it were feasible, I would clean all the posts and put all the original posters' posts in there but given the number of threads this would involve is a great deal of time to try and accomplish.
Any threads like "I got DynoFlashed" that are revived from the dead will simply be closed to try and keep all of this information in one place and let all of you talk to each other without fear of trolls ruining the threads.
I will consistently check the new thread and kick anyone out who is starting trouble. If you come across an inappropriate post in the thread, feel free to report it to a mod or PM myself.

Thanks
