Had my car DynoFlashed this weekend

I just wanted to say that there're alot of options out there to boost the performance of your EVO.
Well I've found one that beats everything I've done to the car thus far.
The Al from Dynoflash came down to South Florida this past weekend so I was intrigued as to how the process was done and what performance gains were possible.
There were quite a few EVOs there and everyone that had their's Dynoflashed came away very happy. So I decided to have my EVO done.
Well let me tell you that I was fascinated with the whole process. Al throughly diagnosis your car first to see what is going on. I found out to my surprise that my car was detonating, running lean and my timing was way off.
Al quickly uploaded one of his bench programs based on the mods that I have done and immediately found a big difference on how the car pulled. He then fine tuned my ride so that it would run not too rich or too lean and that most important, timing was perfect. The whole process took about 45 minutes and all I can say is WOW!!!
With Dynoflash my EVO has regained its low end torque and pulls hard and smoothly all the way to redline which is now higher than the factory's redline. I could feel the increased horsepower. You could not wipe the smile off my face after it was done. I feel like I'm driving an Evolution X.
This is by far the best mod that I've ever done to my ride. BAR NONE!

i think that this is stupid if the mods lock post like these. the only thing this guy is doing is posting about HIS car in which he improved the performance. Isnt that this website is about??? I guess not when you have to worry about threads like this getting locked.

Anyways, Congrats. I will be getting a Hallman Pro boost controller soon and then going for another re-flash soon. The boost on my car is all over the place due to the 3" TB with no cat. I was also thinking of upgrading the fuel pump as well.

I had a post about my dynoflash experience like this locked yesterday. I was a little upset but in all fairness, the moderator explained to me that these posts always turn into a flaming post which goes OT in a couple of posts. It sucks that it happens but its people that arent being respectful to certain people or companys that makes them close this.

There should be a dynoflash review section, just like all teh other EMs.

BTw, Congrats. I love Flash too.

why lock it, the only reason they get locked is because people get off topic about things, and start dissing each other and the vendor.

The EM section is technical in regards to tuning or working the system. Dyno flash is not user tunable nor any hardware added or replaced.

Yours was the final straw with me and my complaint about the Mods. You, one of US, posts a review of a product you enjoy on YOUR car... while there are umpteen pages of posts running rabid on vendor threads in the same forum. The ****/smack talkers need to be banned with posts deleted so the rest of us can enjoy the forum we came here for.

On topic, congrats Dr Evo... I keep reading these posts to see if anyone comes up with a down side to a product I want to purchase. I'm glad you like it

I agree completely! There should be a Reflash Section right up there at the top with the EMs. No, they are not user adjustable, but the majority of owners are getting the flashes over the other systems. Therefore there should be a forum catering to the majority. This way the people who are causing the problems in these threads will have no excuse for entering the forum where the threads belong, and starting crap.

The tech sections were created only recently. If you think a Dynoflash board is needed, make your suggestions at the site suggestions/improvements board.

For anyone else who is whining about these sorts of threads being locked, please refer to the revised guidlines for posting in the tech forums. I have copied it below for your viewing pleasure. Take specific note of item #12.

"2. Before posting a question, please conduct a search for an answer and check our Newbie forum.
3. Absolutely no postings of pornographic (this includes nude) images. This is in order to protect the site from possible lawsuits.
4. The moderators and administrators of evolutionm.net have the right to edit/open/close/move/delete any necessary posts.
5. Posting in all CAPS is forbidden. If the majority of a message if determined to be made up of CAPS it will be deleted and the user will be warned.
7. No bashing vendors, shops, or other websites without just cause. evolutionm.net reserves the right to determine when just cause has been proven, so all complaints should be sent to our staff for evaluation. If you don't like it and haven't talked to our staff about it, don't post.
9. All issues with members should be taken up by email or through the use of our pm system. If you like, you may contact a moderator or staff member to mediate.
10. Excessive flaming will not be tolerated for any reason. Users who verbally assault other posters on a regular basis will be banned. Name-calling is not acceptable. Moderator's judgment applies here. "You are wrong" is not a personal attack; "You are an idiot" is.
12. Our tech forums are here to answer important technical questions pertaining to the Lancer. The quality of the content is very important, thus questions lacking technical merit will either be deleted or moved.
13. When replying to a thread in ANY of our tech forums, the poster should have at least one of the following: additional content pertaining to the subject, a related technical question. Replies with useless, unrelated comments or questions will be deleted. "

These sort of "I love my (insert mod here)" type threads belong in the Off-topic forum or in your regional forum. If you are actually asking a question about something technical, it belongs in the tech sections.

We are only getting strict on these topics recently because so many individuals in the membership have been complaining about the lack of Tech on our Tech boards. We want this place to be the one stop shop for all your technical questions. But it is hard for people to find the real tech when there are endless non tech threads crowding out the content.

So for the forseeable future we will be deleting/locking posts and threads that are not technical in nature. In some cases, repeated offenders of these new rules will be formally warned.

SC~

Well here is a technical question...
After I've had a reflash done and if for some reason timing gets pulled because maybe I was running too much boost, spraying nitrous or running race gas. Would disconnecting my battery (negative terminal) for a period of time and then reconnecting it reset all engine timing to my Dynoflash settings?
