CEL with HKS RS kit?

My CEL just popped up two days ago. I thought it may have been related to my not cat on the car. I get under the car and check the o2 sensor, two of the wires melted together... i repair the wires and fire the car back up after also resetting the ECU. no CEL, turn it off, come out about 20 minutes later to go for a ride, and bam its back. Take it to autozone to get the code pulled becasue the car drives normally. The guy tells me its reading too much oxygen through my intake... i asked him if he meant my MAF signal was way off? I don't think he knew what i was talking about, anyway he cleared the light and said it was due to my HKS RS intake. Could it be becasue it is cold outside now? Also I just got the ECU back from a dynoflash on wednesday... the car runs fine, and I didn't get any light until saturday, after the big snow up here. My mods are UR 3" Turboback with no cat (been on the car for 5000 miles with no light), HKS RS intake, and a throught the mail Dynoflash. Has anyone had similar things happen with the HKS RS intake?

When you sent for the flash, did you notify them of your mods ???
Reason I ask is that I know Al has a baseline for the HKS RS; it does make a difference...

I don't think so... i forgot to add that the RS kit has been on the car for 4000 miles... so I think its still fine i'm still puzzled as to why this would come up out of no where...

Ya maybe AL didnt read the note or you got somone elses ecu. My car has never had a problem with my unit. Al does have specific maps for cars equiped with HKS rs unit due to the factor that it leans out the car at 4000 rpms.

I'm not too sure its the flash either, I plugged it back in on wednesday and didn't get a light till saturday. Also if the car is warm, and I reset the ECU the CEL won't return until the car cools totally... really odd

Is the scenario that when the car is cool and you get on the boost, this pops the CEL ???

no way, the car is never boosted until its fully warmed. The light will come on almost immediatly after start when the car is cold, but if the car is warm, and i reset the ecu, i can let it sit for an hour, and go back out and start it without a light.

wow. ya know what?

i have the HKS RS kit and mine has been doing some weird crap since it got cold and snowed.. ( you can see my post for more info)

i havent pinpointed the problem yet.. but im starting to wonder about this HKS RS kit.

when i go WOT now, my car hesitates for a sec at 3500 when the turbo kicks in and then it kicks in. i really dont know how else to describe it but i was scared at first my clutch was slipping.

ive been reading about it, and i dont think its my clutch. it only starting happening since it got cold here and starting snowing..

if i accelerate normal, or lightly it doesnt usually do it..

so far i havent gotten CEL lights while driving.. just a coiple times ive stalled and it didnt wanna start again at first, until i flooded it with gas- which got the car started, but the CEL comes on. happened like 3 times.. this is due to the HKS SSBOV though- with the stumbling idle..

one thing though...my honeycomb WAS damaged when we did the HKS RS kit.. when trying to take the bolts off, i think one of the plastic washers inside snapped and damaged the thin metal honeycomb grill. we straightened it out as best as possible and the car has been running fine.. until like i said, recently with the cold...think the damaged honeycomb has anything to do with my weird problems??

I had a CEL related to my HKS RS kit before I got my Works reflash. The car was running too lean, and caused random cylinder misfire.
