Bushwacker trans making whining noise
My bushwacker trans along with engine, clutch, turbo, etc has less than 3k miles on it and the trans is making a whining noise, it whines in some gears more than others but that might be because of the lower exhaust tone and can't hear it in the other gears. But is some whine normal for this trans/stock trans? I know it's normal for 1st gear to whine but the whine I'm hearing sounds like it's on the "coasting" side (decelerating, Light throttle) not the power side as if it needs to be reshimmed or something. Does anyone else's trans make a noise? The oil is full to spec and super clean as it should with less than 3k miles on it. I am NOT BASHING Dan's work, just trying to see if this is normal or if i should be checking something. It shifts fine except for reverse being a bish to get in.
Thanks

Do you have a short shifter at all?
I just got mine done from Shep and Reverse is pretty tough. Then again, I attribute that to a brand new transmission, cold weather, and not broken in/driven everyday.

Not 100% sure but judging by how short the throw is and considering the amount of money that went into the car from the previous owner I would be shocked if it had a stock shifter and bushings.
The last owner told me it made 641hp on DG's dyno in ny...then I hear he has an adjustable dyno, so it could be less. but someone told me they don't change the dyno settings anymore. I don't think it's that much but it pulls like a **** so I wouldn't be surprised if it really did and I haven't found any false info on the car that I was told.
Only reason I think it's the trans is because I hear it clearly on the driver's side and it's not speed related, it's almost the same "range" tone in every gear, so if it was the TC it would be quiet in lower gears and louder in higher gears....I've never personally heard the dreaded TC whine (knock on wood) but from the videos I've heard of it it sounds nothing like it and if I'm doing 80mph the sound I have is nowhere near as "high pitched"....I'm pretty positive it's a shimming issue.
Could it possibly have an aftermarket LSD in my trans and be making a noise?
