Interesting - I'll have to read into this and wait for some more reviews. I've tried pretty much everythign in my 6 speed and nothing shifts as good as factory Diaqueen. Even the Mopar 75w85 stuff (Castrol Syntorq).

I was running straight MT90 for a while, and even in our climate the cold shifting was pretty bad, when hot it wasn't all that good either. Next I tried 2Liters MT90and the rest light shockproof, wow what a difference, no more cold grinding and very smooth shifting at all temps. I don't think these are meant to be mixed but it felt great, when drained it looked ok no seperation or goop. By far it was the best feeling oil Ive ever ran, just as good as straight lightweight shockproof. I'll probably try a MTL/MT90 mix this time as I haven't seen the MT85 availabe here yet.

I do not think you will be disappointed in the MT-85. I am not saying its better than diaqueen, but its "as good" and costs only $13 per qt. You just can't beat it.

I was using the Mopar Racing shown here for over 30K miles. I felt that was very good, but it cost $25 per qt. I have used castrol Syntorq in the past, but its a light amber color where as the Mopar stuff is crystal clear like water. So not sure if its the same any longer. All I know is the MT-85 is VERY good and priced Right

Here is a pic of the Mopar Fluid, its Good but costs equal to Diaqueen. The good about the Mopar Fluid is it can be had by the qt and thus it saves you money over the diaqueen. Out of the 3 though, Diaqueen, Mopar or the MT-85. I like the MT-85 the best thus far.

The MT-85 Came out in mid 2010. Redline found that many people were making the infamous "cocktail" and basically this is their answer to it. That is what I was told by Redline anyway.

Double check, you should be able to get it. Just ask your vendor their is Ausi to get it for you. Shouldn't be an availability issue. They just need to order it for you.

Lol, I hope it was changed every 20k, I just got the car and changed it right away. I've seen some how-to's and it didnt look as bad as those pics did.

I am using mt-85 and it works perfect when warm. Before its warm, it's a little notchy, but if I take my time and shift slowly, its fine for the first 5 minutes of driving.

I like it so far though, works great. I'd rather have something a little on the thick side while warming up than something too thin when warm.

I just purchased 3 quarts of this and will be putting it in when my clutch gets changed out in the next week or so. I'll add my thoughts and review to this thread as well.

Any updates for the guys that have been running this? Last update was from sometime in January and it's now mid November which gives you both a nice time frame to report on. Winter, Spring, Summer, now Fall.

Works good in any temp from 100+ to below freezing. if its below freezing it takes me a few min. of driving to warm it up.

my rec. would be to go for it.

Will have to try this out.

Boostedwrx and I have a philosophical difference of opinion on the Castrol Syntorq LT 75W-85 (Mopar fluid-OEM Viper fill). My 6 speed HATED the OEM Super DiaQueen.

Unfortunately, Castrol does not distribute the 75W-85 fluid anymore, at least on the west coast. Was dreading dropping $65 bucks on 3 quarts of the Mopar stuff.

Will be trying this out in my car. Have 140,000 miles on the OEM 6 speed thanks to Castrol. WOOT

Im assuming most people in this thread have 6spd...? Is yours a 5spd? I presume it is? So it works well in your 5spd? I have always used Mt-90 with no problems, but wanted to try something different. I am running Syncromesh right now, but might switch. lmk

Right now I am using MT-90. I think I will switch to MT-85 based on all these positive reviews.

Has anyone that made the switch noticed easier faster shifts?

Doesn't the 5-speed require 75W90 and the 6-speed 75W85?

I used to run Amsoil MTG 75W90 but when I realized 75W85 was the correct viscosity, I wanted to try the MT-85 out.

Thats what I was wondering too! It seemed as if someone was implying they tried the 75w85 in there 5 spd so I was curious. Id try it out.

From a feel perspective, it's ok. Better than OEM. I prefer the Castrol though.
