Injectors for FP Black stock longblock

Could you guys advise on the best injector size for an Evo IX with a totally stock longblock running an FP Black on either pump gas, pump/meth, or race gas(no E-85 or N2O). This car is mostly street driven with occasional 1/4 mile use.

Would something in the 1000-1200cc range be up to snuff? Or, what would you guys advise instead. Sorry, but too lazy to search. Any input appreciated.

This is not for my car as I have a Red and 1000's on a pump gas tune personally. It is for a car in the local Evo community in our country and the local tuner thinks that maybe he can rough tune it in at 23 PSI on pump gas with the stock injectors.

I figure that at 23# and on stock injectors on the Black he won't be making anymore power on the Black than he would with a stock IX turbo. From my point of view, he should be runinng at least 880's-1000's on pump gas and ideally 1200's or thereabouts on pump, race gas, or pump/meth with the Black on a stock motor. What do you guys think?

if your planning on staying on pump gas only then 1000-1200's is plenty. You'll prolly boost no more then 25psi on your stock block.

1250cc fic bluemax are great injectors but you can get away with PTE 1000cc's.

He'll probably have a straight 91 octane tune for the street and switch to pump+meth for the track. I don't know if 1000-1200's are about right for this setup. But it is my best guess too. Thanks for the input.

Sure if he were gonna be running Ethanol then the nozzles would need to be larger and he would also need a double-pumper. But, on pump, or pump/meth he should be OK with a single Wally and the 1000's or 1200's, right?

1250 cc bluemax are great I got convinced to buy the precision 1200 cc and there not the greatest they spray like a hose and sometimes I get issues on starting..I have to touch the gas to start it up and other times it perfect it's the way it sprays out.

adjusting injector pulse width can fix mostly all cold and hot start issues with mostly any injectors.

I had 1250 fic bluemax, they were great..

1000cc and single pump is plenty sparky.

1000cc injectors is all you need for gas.. I have made 700hp on 1000's w/ race gas..

1200cc on E85 will get you to ~650 if you run a double pumper and FPR kit.. Thats what we use on most setups and it seems to drive the absolute best..

we dont use anything Low impedance above pte 1200cc.. After 1200cc we go to FIC 1680 and ID 2000cc High impedance.. Im not a fan personally of low impedance bored out injectors but thats just my .02..

This is good info. Do you adjust the FP up higher than 43#?
