Crank scraper w/ stroker?

I am curious if a standard crank scraper will fit on my 2.3 stroker? 4G63 block w/ 64 crank.

Im thinking of getting the cosworth scraper.

And how would I clearance it? Just add some spacers between the scraper and the crank girdle?

buy a dremel, buy a carbide cutter & use that to make room for the rods / crank throws.

or you could trial fit it and bend it downwards to clear the rods/crank

Thread resurrection... will be installing an AMS/Moroso extra-capacity wet sump oil pan soon, and it includes a crank scraper. I'm using a Manley 100mm billet stroker crank (#190120B).

Roughly how much clearance is enough? Half a millimeter? A full millimeter, to be 100% sure nothing will hit?

Thanks in advance!

.060" on everything. It takes a while to check and you'll need the engine fully assembled to how it will be running as the crank counter weights and rods end will hit the scraper.

No problem; I'm installing the AMS pan after the fact, on an already running/installed engine. There will be lots of staring upwards from under the car and oil dripping into my eyes, though, probably.

I bolted mine on the best I could and rotated the engine until something touched and then marked the area with a Sharpie then rotated the other way and did the same. This took about 10 times to get everything cleared.

I had to modify my AMS scraper that came with the sump to clear the 4g64 crank.

Where you have the 90degree angles on each section for the rods to pass i ended up cutting them at a 45 degree to clear the rod bolts then as alreasy said used a dremel to get clearance.

Is that recommended? Using a used crankshaft?
I am about to build my engine, and my "guy" told me that using a broken-in, used, crankshaft from another Mitsubishi car was going to be better, as supposed to getting a new one.
Anyone has inputs on this?

I had them do a crank scraper BACK in the days for me for my 3sgte mr2 turbo. They have been around for a while I see. Anyhow, that crank scraper they made for me worked like a champ.
