Junkyard head build project
Recently found a 4g63t head from someone local for $50 and couldnt pass it up. I wanted to just start building a head on the side as a project and just swap it with my stock one once i was completly finished. but thought about it a little harder and not sure if it can be swaped with my car being it is a evo 9 with mivec. can anyone tell me if i can get this head to work?? or just any tips in general. this is my first internal work such as porting and such. but so far going very well.

The head can be used with different cam caps, the cam bores just have to be Line bored/honed with the other caps lol. But yeah, I'd look into how much money you'd have to spend on it before actually spending it on it
hmm i have most the caps i was thinking the same thing but didnt think it would b an issue if i used a few spares i have and just use good judgement.. that was just a pick of it out of the washier for a bit. yeah i am currently trying to get a price estimate on long term parts to get this to work. but like i said this is my first build project so im very dedicated to try to make this work with all work done by myself. I live in alaska.. not to much to choose from.

good luck without the cam caps..since it is your first, and you got it cheap, knock the guides out of it and make it a test grinding head for yourself. The mitsu is really hard to line bore/hone for the caps. Hard means $$$. And in the end you still have a cheap head that is not worth putting money into.
