Evo VIII valve train limit
Im guessing your wanting to run evo 8 valve train in your talon? Hard question to answer cuz all the different makes and sizes of cams, then theres how many miles are on the valve train.
So to give my opinion, Id keep it un 7.5, can you see 8k plus, yes, but prolly not the best idea. My tuner runs comp 280's on his stock evo 8 head @ 45k miles on it. Only revs to 7.5

Reved mine to 8500rpm with my stock valvetrain and HKS 272 cams, which have similar lift to stock. I replaced my spring and retainers at about 80k miles or so with brian crowers. Now I keep it to around 8600rpm max and no issues so far. I even accidentally overreved to 10.5k for a split second and got lucky with no breakage.
I would not rev past 8,500 with a mild cam and wouldn't go past 8,00 with a aggressive cam like gsc2 or kelfords it' possible to float the valves and have valve flutter.I would just upgrade them and have a clear mind..
