I want to thank Lucas an Aaron for taking their time in figuring out my valve spring issue and going extra mile or 1/4 mile for their customers.

Hmm, 4lbs up fairly high pretty much right over the front axle and a slight torque advantage down low? Sounds like the magnus would be my choice

Do you think the losses and gains are exaggerated by the test engine being a 2.4, or negated ?

I think it does a good job of showing the max potential of either intake. You might use the term exaggerated to fit the bill, but a larger motor with good VE will show strengths and weaknesses that much faster. There is a reason Robert at FP has a 2.3, we use 2.4s, Others 2.1s or 2.3s, etc. since we can get to the end of the rope that much quicker.

On the one hand, average builds might not notice a difference. On the other though, people that want to push any specific combo will find out real fast what works best for them. If you work in a narrow range with little need for transient response then you are going to be looking for different characteristics than someone who needs the widest possible powerband and fastest response because of turbo size.

Thanks for your reply aaron. I wasn't trying to take anything away from the 2.4, and I know you didn't portray that I did. I just couldn't help to think of the tq loss down low on the Magnus, and if using it on 2.0 for a roadrace set up, one might hesitate if the loss was magnified by the 2.0.

I think something that should be noted... the plenum volume's contribution will change with changes in displacement, while the runner length's contribution is independent of displacement and is strictly linked to engine speed.
