Idk what's happening?

Ok so this is my first turbo car so somethings idk how to diagnose myself yet, with that being said my car when it hits full boost or close to it even somewhere about 22lbs it cuts in and out sounds kinda like a drum roll.... Idk how else to explain it lol it seems to me like a lack of fuel but then again idk because it will hit 25 lbs then just pop like that till it tapers to about 20 or so and then smooth out and increase speed and it just recently started... If u have any ideas that would great and thanks in advance
Matt

Ive had that same sound...sounds kinda like a machine gun sputter? I replaced my plugs, gapped them to .22, and bought a new battery. Problem fixed. Dont know what one did it tho lol Granted, right before this was happening an injector seal had popped out too. Are you tuned? Could be something as simple as fuel cut or boost cut.

Yeah it was all done when I got the car it is tuned at 25 lbs I have rc750 cc injectors I was going to change the plugs this weekend and try that someone said could be boost leak but I thought I wouldn't hot full boost like that so if the plugs didn't work I was thinking upgrade fuel pump and go with some fic 1000 cc injectors and do tune but idk I'm new to the turbo world and don't wanna waste any more money than I have to if its not the problem?!

I thought that too but wouldn't it happen all the time not only under hard boost? I was going to look into that more and like five of my buddies told me I was wrong that's why I made a post

I would check boost leaks and your spark plugs. Start there. Could be a slight leak that only happens when under high pressure.

Toss a new set of plugs in her. NGK BR7ES gaped at about .023" should do it and it won't cost you more than $10.

Report back.
